After a communications career spanning both in-house and agency-side, and with a deep knowledge of the technology sector and investment community, Cordelia’s clients, colleagues, and wider network kept saying she should launch her own agency – “build it and they will come!” Cordelia didn’t want to build yet another generalist corporate or technology agency, and certainly didn’t want to emulate the traditional agency approach. She could, however, see the opportunity for a new breed of agency – one that truly understands the sector it sits within, is genuinely embedded in that ecosystem with a real network, and that makes an impact on its clients’ bottom line.

So in April 2012, FieldHouse Associates was born – named after the house in Putney that had been home to four generations of Cordelia’s family since her grandfather built it in the early 1920s, and that had had to be sold when her father died in 2011. The fledgling agency had a razor-sharp focus on three key USPs that remain core to the business today: working with high-growth businesses, their investors, and the ecosystem around them; being impactful by always looking to help businesses reach the next stage on their growth journey, or next strategic objective; and building an entrepreneurial team that is deeply networked and understands its space through and through.

Since then, FieldHouse has regularly grown 100 per cent year-on-year – and the team has built upon its core principles to nurture a roster of clients ranging from first-time startup founders, to serial tech entrepreneurs, to big and small investors, to professional service firms, to big brands, and everything else in between, all looking to work and play in the same ecosystem. On top of that, the team has built deep relationships with key industry influencers and event organisers, and is recognised across the high-growth tech and investment space as the “go to” agency if you want to make an impact.

2018 was a year of extraordinary achievement, recognition, and growth. FieldHouse was extremely proud to be named Service Provider of the Year at the Investor Allstars awards, to feature as a Top 25 SME Culture Leader 2018 in Real Business magazine, and to be a finalist in the Growth Business Enabler of the Year category at the Startups Awards. In October, FieldHouse opened its second office, serving companies in the Cambridge innovation and investment ecosystem right on their doorsteps.
