Applications open for unique Venturespring Ignite programme

Startups can apply to be specifically matched with corporates in first phase of new model for business creation and acceleration backed up some of the world’s biggest brands and business leaders.

– Six week Venturespring Ignite programme starts in September and will ‘match-make’ startups and corporates based on their specific challenges
– Startups will gain unique access to vital resources beyond the standard ‘class room learning’ of other accelerators – e.g. investment, supply chain networks, technology or access to customers from Venturespring clients including Tata Communications, IBM, Vodafone and Unilever
– Corporates can go beyond paying ‘lip service’ to innovation and generate a real return on their investment (time and money) by co-creating disruptive products and services that future-proof their business
– One of the startups accepted on to the six week Venturespring Ignite programme will be invited to Necker Island to attend a week-long summit in February 2018 attending by Fortune 500 leaders, top global VCs and Sir Richard Branson at an event co-produced with the Singularity University

Venturespring works with big brand corporates and connects them to a curated pool of startups through the Ignite programme. Startups are selected based on their potential to help solve corporate challenges or create opportunities through innovation. Within Venturespring Ignite, carefully selected startups and scale-ups (across mobility, lifestyle, media, aerospace, travel, fintech, healthtech, AI, AR, VR, retail) will be granted access to a six-week programme where they are strategically matched with the most relevant corporate partners. The matching will be based on the corporate’s market and digital transformation opportunity, and the resources the companies need access to scale, such as access to retail distribution or supply chain networks; reaching consumers through free advertising and marketing or access to capital via Venturespring’s investment fund.

Beyond Ignite, the Venturespring team will keep working with the startups and corporates to drive real life innovations that resonate with users, from problem identification, concept development, product ideation to roadmapping, distribution and growth. The objective is to achieve a real return on investment for the corporate, and access and scale for the startups that would be near impossible to achieve anywhere else in the same timeframe.

As part of the Venturespring Ignite programme, one of the fast growth businesses will be invited to Necker Island to attend a week long summit in February 2018 attended by Fortune 500 leaders, top global VCs and Sir Richard Branson. Singularity University is also a co-producer of the event and is responsible for the programming and education. Proceeds after expenses will go to support Virgin Unite and the Impact Fellows program at Singularity University.

Applications for the six-week programme will be powered by the Made platform, by Venturespring partner Tata Communications.
