The evening will showcase Liverpool City Region (LCR) and the support it provides for the local companies, and is hosted in partnership with the Department for International Trade, Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, Invest Liverpool, Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF) and Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.

Attendees will be given an overview of the Liverpool community and time to network with international companies and advisors who are looking to invest, support and locate within LCR. Topics covered will include access to funding, business support, inward investment, ecosystem building and the role of education and research in supporting entrepreneurship in the North West region.

Declan Blackwood, Investment Manager at Funderbeam, said: “The UK270 Commission revealed the UK to be one of the most regionally imbalanced countries in the industrialised world. At Funderbeam, we want to support the best and brightest entrepreneurs from across the country, not just London.

For Liverpool-based entrepreneurs we can provide access to high quality, active investors who can add value to your startup. For investors, Funderbeam provides access to its geographically-diverse, ambitious portfolio of growth companies.

LCR has a growing community of active entrepreneurs and angel investors. Through working together to promote exciting opportunities Liverpool can attract both investment and talent that will help the region thrive. We are proud to be working with Sensor City to help support the Northern ecosystem and address the funding imbalance between London and the rest of the UK.”

Attendees to the event will be able to tour the Sensor City campus, take part in a 3 minute showcase and the opportunity for networking and facilitated matching. The event is free to attend, and those interested should sign up here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/liverpool-landscape-funding-and-support-tickets-61227666599?aff=
