Playbrush, the world’s first gadget to transform a manual toothbrush into a gaming controller has now conquered the French market with a brand new collaboration with Unilever. This partnership will see Playbrush brought to the French market under Unilever’s ‘Signal’ brand.
Playbrush first came to prominence whilst taking part in Pitch@Palace 5.0 in March, 2016. HRH The Duke of York founded Pitch@Palace in 2014 to support Entrepreneurs with the amplification and acceleration of their business ideas by connecting them with potential supporters including CEOs, Investors, Elevators and Key Business Partners.
Exclusively for the French market, Playbrush will now become ‘Signal Playbrush’. Playbrush founder Paul Varga commented on the new partnership, “We are very excited to be associated with a household brand like Unilever. Unilever acted so quickly and effectively, helping us through the challenging parts of being a young start-up company. For Playbrush, this partnership is all about helping more families have more fun and less hassle over kid’s toothbrushing time”
In December, the first co-branded Unilever Playbrush will be released, with new games specifically adapted for the French market. “French children travel the world with Little Brush or Big Brush in different levels and face different challenges. As in other countries, the Playbrush attachment connects via Bluetooth to smartphones or tablets and turns the toothbrush into a gaming controller”, explains Matthäus Ittner of Playbrush. As with all Playbrushes, the Signal Playbrushes are equipped with a high quality toothbrush and smartphone holder for the bathroom mirror, and comes in Pink or Blue.
With this new partnership, the success story of the company continues. After a successful Kickstarter campaign and investment from Venture Capital firm Speedinvest in 2015, Playbrush has established itself within the health and making market having sold 60,000 devices around the EU. Signal Playrbsuh is €39.90 online, and soon to be available in all major French supermarkets.
