Pathways is one of several events and initiatives hosted by White Bull each year and has become one of the most valuable for Europe’s technology innovation scene. Set to take place at the Meridien RA in El Vendrell, this year’s event is supported by Qualcomm Ventures and will bring together 200+ top entrepreneurs from all stages of business, investors, and big brands to help facilitate knowledge share and connections among the ecosystem.
Since it began in 2009, Pathways has attracted an impressive cohort of attendees from the like of Google and IBM, as well as speakers including Neal Dempsey of Bay Partners – one of the founding investors in Starbucks – futurist and and author Gerd Leonhard, serial entrepreneur Stan Van de Burgt and former journalist turned Microsoft executive Roxanne Varza. It has also recognised some of the most promising and fastest growing European startups such as Blippar, Criteo, SoundCloud, iZettle, Klarna, Softkineticand Jobandtalent through its prestigious Bully Awards which will continue in 2017.
Co-founder and Creative Director of White Bull Summits, Elizabeth Perry, said: “Our goal with Pathways was to create an intimate event that really lends itself to developing meaningful and lasting connections that breed success. It’s the anti-mega event in so many ways, and it’s been a hugely successful format for our growing network.
“Three quarters of the companies that have been through Pathways have gone on to be more successful. They’ve forged partnerships, completed acquisitions and raised billions of dollars in funding. We look forward to building on this success in 2017, welcoming back those that have already benefitted from the community and bringing in some new members that can help spur on Europe’s innovation scene.”
White Bull Summits will also be bringing back its TechChampions series in the run up to Pathways, touring entrepreneurial hotspots across Europe to find the brightest up and coming stars in technology innovation. The series aims to help promising companies grow and succeed by providing exposure, discussion and creating a global ecosystem to support their mission. Starting in March in Brussels, the tour will visit London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Munich, Stockholm, and Paris.
