10th September 2018 Agency

Finding a place in the real world

Having survived three years studying for my university degree, it was time to try to find a place in the ‘real’ world of work. My search led me to a number of companies, but most importantly FieldHouse. With its specialism in an area that I already had an interest in, I was immediately tempted to find out more about the company and see what it’s people were like.

I picked up on the welcoming and lively atmosphere as soon as I walked through the door. The interviews themselves were revealing of how FieldHouse likes to work, an incredible balance of relaxed but very focused. From one stage to another, I detected a theme – talented and successful people buying into a vision and switching jobs to work for this agency. After the first interview, I was hoping I would also get the chance to meet the person who had set it all up.

When I did finally meet Cordelia everything fell into place. My conviction that this was the place I wanted to work was cemented further in this final meeting, and when at the end of it I was offered the job I didn’t even need to think before saying yes.

At the end of my first week I can say that everything I thought during the interview process had been proven true. All of the senior team are always happy to help, no matter how mundane the task is, and I have been made to feel like one of the family since day one. I can’t wait to see what week two brings.
