CensorNet appoints former FireEye marketing lead as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing

Basingstoke, UK - January 31, 2017 - CensorNet, the complete cloud security company, has today announced the appointment of security marketing and communications expert Sarah Woods as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. Woods joins CensorNet following a five-year tenure with cyber security firm FireEye, where she built the EMEA marketing organisation and implemented a highly effective market awareness strategy.

Woods has spent more than two decades providing strategic marketing and communications advice to a range of software and security companies including BigFix and Marshal. Within the newly created role at CensorNet, Woods will be responsible for developing the company’s global brand and message, underpinned by impactful marketing and communications programmes, to support the company’s aggressive growth plans.

“I’ve worked with Sarah in previous companies and been hugely impressed by her ability to implement marketing strategies that drive the business forward and I am absolutely delighted to have her on-board at CensorNet,” said Ed Macnair, CEO, CensorNet. “As we progress as a company, Sarah’s knowledge of the industry and expertise in early-stage businesses will be invaluable.”

“There are a huge number of security companies around today but what CensorNet is offering in the Cloud Application Control or CASB and authentication space is both innovative and highly relevant to enterprises moving to the cloud, which truly drew me to the business,” added Woods. “It’s great to be joining at such an exciting time in the company’s growth and I look forward to helping Ed and the team continue their success.”
