Senior Account Manager
Ben joined FieldHouse Associates in September 2018. His clients include social prediction companies, cybersecurity experts, and professional services firms.
Well versed in the world of startups, Ben joined after an 18-month spell in the PR and marketing team of an AR startup, helping to take it from beta launch through to a full launch and rebrand – and a million users. There he managed internal communications as well as overseeing funding announcements and wider media outreach.
His PR career started out at a broadcast specialist agency, working with clients ranging from high street brands through to governmental departments to ensure strategic broadcast coverage across national and regional radio. He then spent 15 months at Working Word, one of the biggest PR agencies in Wales. There, he cut his teeth on B2B and B2C clients, getting his first taste of the technology ecosystem – working on the Welsh Government’s Digital programme – as well as clients in the tourism sector.
Ben then spent two years as a PR Manager at Confused.com, overseeing the day-to-day running of the press office. Confused.com gained the largest share of voice in terms of press coverage among the ‘big four’ price comparison websites, and was recognised as having the best in-house comms team at the PRCA awards in 2015.
From Confused.com Ben moved to Marlin PR, where he worked with clients ranging from startups – Debut, HiyaCar – through to unicorns such as Slack, as well as big financial services firms such as Experian. He worked across a diverse portfolio of clients, launching clients at WebSummit 2016, overseeing daily press office activity, and working on a number of high-profile creative campaign activities.
Away from work, Ben immerses himself in the world of football – playing Sunday League for the mighty Chalk Scratchings and writing for Cardiff City’s View from the Ninian, which he also founded as a podcast many years ago.
