From the floor at Tech.EU Summit 2026
This week we took to the QEII Centre in London for one of the best tech events in Europe – Tech.EU Summit!
From panel sessions to insightful keynote talks, and a dash of networking with some friendly (and new) faces, we share what we listened in on and why attending/speaking at events matters for your company’s PR.
AI investment: the funding vs. implementation gap
One of the standout sessions of the morning was a panel titled “The New AI Investment Playbook: From Societal Impact to DeepTech” moderated by Tech.EU’s Tamara Djurickovic, bringing together Sam Nasrolahi, Principal at InMotion Ventures, Cecilia Ma, Investment Manager at Norrsken VC, and Nadja Carina Reischel, Principal at Cherry Ventures.
The conversation cut straight to some of the most pressing questions in the market right now. They touched on AI investment, the funding versus implementation problem, enterprise-readiness and the sovereignty question – themes that are only going to grow louder as regulation catches up with innovation.
AI’s impact on SaaS and the rise of alternative financing
Sean Duffy, Managing Director and European Market Lead at CIBC Innovation Banking, took to the stage for a keynote, titled “AI & SaaS: How Deep Is Your Mote”, that offered a view of how AI is reshaping the SaaS landscape.
The market is now stress-testing the financing frameworks that once served SaaS companies well. Sean walked through what frameworks alternative financing providers, such as venture debt providers, are putting in place, offering perspective for founders who need to know their options.
Climate tech, deep tech, and the patience of capital
Another panel we caught was on building and scaling climate and deeptech companies, moderated by Tech.EU’s John Reynolds, joined by Devika Thapar, Co-founder of Wilbe, Alexandra (Ali) Morrow, Partner at Clay Capital, and Sanghamitra Karra, Global Co-Head of Inclusive & Sustainable Ventures at Morgan Stanley.
Together, they delved into investor appetite for climate tech and deeptech and the importance of capital efficiency, a reminder that the biggest problems worth solving are rarely the cheapest ones to finance.
Why events matter for your company’s PR
Beyond catching up with industry friends and hearing top-notch insights from founders, investors, VCs, and everyone in between, there’s something irreplaceable about being in the right rooms.
Conferences and summits like Tech.EU are where relationships are created and reputations are built, and in PR, showing up can be the difference between securing your next funding round or being left on the curb; Journalists, investors, and potential partners are all gathering in one place to discuss your bread and butter – it’s an opportunity we know is worth seizing.
While attending is great, it’s only half of it. Securing speaking or moderating opportunities at events can take things up a level, signalling credibility, relevance, influence and momentum. When an auditorium is filled with people who are there specifically to hear from you, making the right connections as a speaker and thought leader becomes a whole lot easier (and anyways, after a while, wandering the floor hoping to collect LinkedIn QR codes gets a tad tiring).
If you’d like to be in the right room or think your company needs spokespeople on the right panels, we’d love to help.
Get in touch and let’s talk about where you should be showing up.
