Angel CoFund appoints Olivia Nicoletti to bring further deep tech expertise to team

The Angel CoFund (ACF) has appointed Dr Olivia Nicoletti to the team as Senior Investment Associate. Joining from Cambridge Enterprise, where she worked on technology transfer for innovations from Cambridge University, Olivia will focus on deep tech investments for the fund.

Olivia holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge for her work in nano-optics and the equivalent of an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Physics from Universita’ Statale di Milano. She joins the fund from her previous role as Commercialisation Manager at Cambridge Enterprise, the technology transfer arm of the University of Cambridge, where she worked for five years helping academics to build commercial opportunities from the outcome of their research. These included a broad range of deep tech areas from quantum computing to encryption, machine learning, photovoltaics, light emission, as well as medical devices. She helped launch and fund start ups such as Nu Quantum, Colorifix, Flusso and Riverlane.

Olivia will be adding her deep tech expertise to a growing number of ACF portfolio companies in the sector as the ACF continues to look to foster growth in the deep tech sector; helping world-changing ideas become great businesses. Current deep tech portfolio companies include: Wayland Additive, an innovative metal additive manufacturing company; Oxford Drug Design which develops rapid, state-of-the-art virtual screening and ligand analogue searching technologies, and Neurovalens, pioneers in non-invasive brain stem stimulating medicine.
